What information is available on the wine label?

A wine label is like a business card for red wine, condensing all the important information about the wine on a small label, through which we can quickly determine its origin, characteristics and possible styles.

Commonly seen on wine labels include:

Winery or Brand Name: Tells you which winery or brewer produced the bottle, as different wineries often have unique brewing styles.

Region of origin and classification: The region of origin of the red wine is indicated, sometimes with a classification system designation, such as Grand Cru, DOCG, to represent its quality position in the region.

Grape varieties, such as Cabernet Sauvignon and Pinot Noir, allow you to visualize the aromas and flavors of the wine in advance.

Vintage: refers to the year in which the grapes were harvested, and each year's climatic variations leave a unique flavor imprint on the wine.

Alcohol strength and volume: Most red wines have an alcohol strength of 12% to 15%, and a common volume of 750ml. Grasping the information on the label is like reading the story of the wine before tasting it, so that you can find the red wine that suits your taste in a more oriented way.
